St. Joseph’s Craft Guild has met weekly for over 15 years to knit caps, booties and blankets for babies in the NICU at Cape Fear Valley Health System.

The Craft Guild is a dedicated group of fabric artists who donate their art to premature babies born in Fayetteville. Some of the artists also sell their fabric art and donate the proceeds back to the Craft Guild to be used for the church.

During the pandemic, the Craft Guild fabricated masks for healthcare workers. The demand was so high that the Guild held a donation drive for more fabric. By the end of 2020, the Craft Guild sewed over 5,000 masks for healthcare workers and at-risk individuals.
