Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

Since 1871, the National Episcopal Church Women, ECW, have championed women’s rights and the Christian foundation of God and family. Their women’s ministry and children’s programs feed, educate, and provide community grants around the world.

St. Joseph’s ECW provides support and fellowship opportunities within our parish and hosts events and fundraisers. All women are automatically members of ECW and are encouraged to participate!

St. Joseph’s ECW is comprised of vibrant women of many talents, and there are many opportunities to become involved. Volunteers are the heart of ECW and our guilds. Our events and fundraisers are successful because of the many talented women with a heart to serve.

ECW’s events include:

  • Valentine’s Basket Sale

  • Yard Sale

United Thank Offering (UTO)

ECW coordinates and collects the United Thank Offering (UTO) twice each year. The mission of UTO is to promote thank offerings, to receive the offerings and to distribute the monies to support mission and ministry throughout The Episcopal Church and Provinces of the Anglican Communion.

Church Periodical Club (CPC)

Each year, St. Joseph’s ECW collect donations for Church Periodical Club. The funds are sent to the East Carolina ECW for grants to seminarians and deacons in training. The grants assist with the cost of books and training. The East Carolina ECW also makes an annual gift the national CPC for National Books Fund and Miles of Pennies Fund.
